Who will be hoisting the trophy in Las Vegas?

By Ryan Stieg  We’ve now reached Las Vegas and the end of this year’s journey. Unlike last year’s trip to St. Louis where there were two first-timers, this year’s group is all bluebloods with multiple national titles. I can understand hockey fans being both excited and annoyed by that result.   Looking back at the regionals, I did okay with my picks. The first round […]

Who gets to wake up in Vegas?

By Ryan Stieg  My favorite part of the year has arrived. It’s finally NCAA Tournament time again.   Before I get into that, let’s look back at last week. Things didn’t go well for me with my CCHA championship prediction and as a result, I did not get to eat corn dogs to celebrate National Corn Dog Day. That’s not a terrible penalty, but it was still disappointing.

Who is making it to the CCHA Championship?

By Ryan Stieg  Sometimes the unpredictable becomes predictable and that’s what happened in the CCHA Quarterfinals.   The CCHA is usually known for its wackiness, but last week, all of the higher seeds won their respective series. Hoping for a fresh start in the CCHA Quarterfinals

By Ryan Stieg  The best part of the CCHA season has arrived. After a long and wild final two weeks, we finally know who everyone’s playing and where at.   I’m glad it’s finally arrived because I need a fresh start. Last weekend was rough as my technicalities had to come into play again, but at least I got my prizes, chocolate

Looking for a fun finish in CCHA Week 21

By Ryan Stieg  We’ve made it everyone. It’s the final week of the CCHA regular season, and things are looking intense in the playoff picture.   There’s three teams in contention for the MacNaughton Cup and after Augustana locked down home ice last week, there’s four teams fighting for the remaining three home ice spots. So this weekend should be fun.   Last weekend wasn’t so fun for me as I almost had
